Twelfth-rankedVardar (0-8) made lots of trouble for second ranked TFT (7-1) in Skopje on Saturday. The visitors managed to secure only one-point victory 80-79 . However their fans expected much easier game. TFT outrebounded Vardar 42-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Georgi Zafirov (194-1997, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds and American center David Haughton (201-1991, college: Purchase) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five TFT players scored in double figures. Guard Husein Bajram (180-2002) responded with 31 points and Filip Nakov (194-2003) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. TFT keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Cair 2030. Loser Vardar still closes the standings with eight games lost.
